100% Silk for $15.99

Thrift shopping has always been one of my favorite hobbies and I would call it a hobby because I hunt for these deals. Some days I am luckier than others on the items I find which range from silk scarves to used leather handbags. I have been thrift shopping since I was 14. It started with my deep obsession for fashion but not always being able to afford it, especially as a teenager. I looked towards hunting for clothing at Goodwill, second hand boutiques, and on Poshmark. Through the years I have found designer vintage and gorgeous handbags for unbelievable prices. I’m also a huge advocate for shopping second hand and sustainability.

The tricks to Thrifting 101-
*Visit stores such as Salvation Army, Savers, & Goodwill.
*Look for brands that are classic & timeless.
*Shop in areas where the average household income is higher
This was my most recent thrift haul from The Goodwill on the Upper East Side of NYC. I was specifically looking for warm sweaters & jackets. I ended up getting a silk blouse, bone white leather handbag, pastel blue sweater with an open back, Banana Republic grey cardigan, and army green Pretty Little Thing sweater dress for $50. This was a very successful shopping trip.
